I love this time of year!  I am not a fan of cold so hot is good.  Main Street has some great things going on this summer and the rest of the year.  Keep an eye on the website for information.  Don't forget the Music in the Park series.  The Platteville Main Street Program is partnering with the Platteville Arts Board to bring them to you every Thursday evening throughout summer.  Check out our calendar for times and bands.  Thank you to all of our sponsors.  Shop Often and Shop Local!

The Platteville Main Street Program awarded Thomas Steinback the 2009 UWP Faculty Partnership of the Year Award.  This is the first time this award has been given out.  This award is awarded to the UWP Faculty member who has shown dedication and loyalty to the Platteville Main Street Program and the growth of entrepreneurship through education and sponsorship.  Tom has hosted a number of curriculum based programs, involving the Main Street Program directly as well as the Main Street businesses.  He is also the faculty sponsor to a Main Street  intern this summer.

The Main Street program feels that a partnership with the University of Platteville is critical to the growth of Main Street and the entrepreneurship of our young people.  We commend Tom on his excellent work with the Main Street Program, the community and the future of entrepreneurship.

Taco John's Makes Donation

The Platteville Main Street Program and the Platteville Farmer’s Market would like to acknowledge Suzanne Buchert, Taco John’s Employees and their loyal customers for their generous donation to the Senior Nutrition and Families in Need program.  Their donation of $750 will assist many families and seniors in purchasing fresh products from the Farmers Market.  This is the second year that Taco John’s has made such a generous donation to the program.  If you are interested in learning more about the program or making a donation please call the Platteville Main Street office at 608-348-4505.
